$3 Garden Bench Renovation in Less Than 30 Minutes

Last week I spent a whole $3  and 30 minutes on this garden bench rennovation.  This garden bench is over 7 years old and has been stained before. I always debate whether or not I want to stain it because I love the weathered look. But last week I was shopping for chalkboard paint and I  managed to snag some spray wood stain from Michaels for $3. Time to rennovate on the cheap!
Here's how the project went:
1. I sprayed off the pigeon poop and washed the bench.
2. Lightly sanded the bench.
3. Covered the wall with an old sheet. (Who has time to move benches?)
4. Sprayed the bench like crazy.
5. Waited 15 minutes for the first coat to dry.
6. Sprayed the 2nd coat and finished off the can.
I think it came out great, and it was super easy!

Spray Wood Stain only $3!
Don't forget to cover the wall!

Barbecue Grill Gift Card Holder From Lettering Delights

When I saw this Barbecue Grill Gift Card holder from Lettering Delights I just had to have it. I purchased it and downloaded it to my Silhouette Design Studio and went to work. It was real easy to cut, but folding the grill cover was more challenging than I had anticipated.  I used tacky tape to get it to hold but after a few days it started to unravel a bit. Darn. My dad liked the presen, but next time I'll spend more time on the lid to get it just right.  Oh well...live and learn.

Poppin Tags At Goodwill: Old Jeans Made New With Craft Supplies

I bought these old pair of jeans at the Goodwill. They were only four dollars on 1/2 price Saturday... what a deal. The problem is that they are missing a button. What's a girl to do.?

I immediately thought that I could just replace the button with a new one. And then I thought that might be too much work. So I grabbed my e6000 glue and my handy dandy embellishment button jar. I glued the embellishment to the broken button.  Then I went around the edges of the button with my sealer glue and let it dry.

I get a lot of compliments on these jeans. They're great find and I'm so glad that I got do this project with supplies I already had. They've been in the wash a few times already and they're still looking great. I love these pants.

Rock Star Cricut Card

I made this card for my friend June, who is starred in Chandler,AZ Idol. She made it all the way to the final round. It's made with rock star princess cartridge, and cut at three and a half inches. I used Washi tape and cut it to look like flags.

Alice in Wonderland clock with Graphic 45 Paper

Recently I received this graphic 45 paper that's been discontinued for a while. Luckily, I found some extra pieces on the internet. I've had these project pieces for over 5 years now and they've been sitting in my closet. I thought this paper would make a really great clock.

I use mod podge to seal the paper on the clock. Then I added some embellishments.  Unfortunately the clock pieces broke. So I had to make a trip to the Hobby Lobby to pick up a new part. This is a clock I'll keep for a long time.
