Mac book pro sticker made with Silhouette Cameo - Crafty Gals Challenge

This month, the gals in the Crafty Gals blog group are showing some love to me.  Can you believe it - how neat is that?   The gals know I love using die cuts and my Cricut and Cameo so I decided to show you what I made with my Cameo this month.

I know you probably have guessed by now, that  Alice in Wonderland is my favorite character. I think I can recite both versions of Alice and Wonderland. The cartoon and the remake with Jonny Depp.

Recently I saw a Snow White sticker on someone's Mac so I decided to create one myself with my Silhouette Cameo. I downloaded a coloring page file to my design studio. Then I made a few edits and cut out the vinyl. I love how it turned out and how she's holding the apple in her arms.  The apple was Dina, but I edited the cat out.  Don't hate me - I know cats are popular on the internet!

One of the things I love most about my Silhouette Cameo is that I can customize pretty much anything. It takes a little bit of time and practice but in the end its all worth it and it saves me  money.

Silhouette Cameo Watering Can

This cut that I found  online at the silhouette america store was absolutely adorable. I just had to have it. So I cut it out exactly as it was measured when it landed on the virtual mat and put it together with my son. We had so much fun. I think it would make a great pen holder or paper flower holder.

Hedgehog Treat Holder Silhouette Cameo

I was looking for something to surprise my coworkers who recently trained me on a project. So I found our company mascot on the silhouette America's website and cut out a bunch of hedgehogs for my friends at work. I included brownies as a special treat.

Coversation Heart Box - Lori Whitlock Design

Lori Whitlock is one of my favorite cut file designers on the Silhouette online store. I also used her poinsettia file for the flower.  The clear acetate is recycled from a Cricut cartridge.  I always keep the plastic that it comes in for this very purpose. Now....what should I put in there?

Celebrate Life Today Journal

I made this journal as a Christmas present for a friend at work. She's undergone quite a transformation with her weight and she's finally enjoying life. I thought this would be perfect for her!
The paper is from My Minds Eye. The flower is cut with my Silhouette. I believe the file is from Lori Whitlock, since most of the files I buy seem to be from her designs. I used dew dots for the brown flowers and pearl brads and embellishments. The key and lock were sitting in my drawer, and I can't remember who manufactures them. Oh well.

Crafty Gals Challenge - Fall Blessings

This month's Crafty Gals challenge is hosted by Jackie.  She challenged us with creating a fall themed project: November is for Thanksgiving & we all have so many things to be thankful for so my challenge for you this month is to create a project to showcase our Blessings. It can be a card, shadowbox, picture frame, scrabook layout, mini album, etc. Please make whatever your heart desires as long as it features what you are thankful for & I also want you to use a Fall theme for your creations.

Nothing says fall like a trip to my cabin in the woods, and cabin time is FAMILY time. We always do fun things together when we go to the cabin. This trip we spend time wandering the forest on the ATV and hiking the woods. I am so blessed to have the opportunity to spend time with my family in such a beautiful place.

I made this treat holder for the Cabin's kitchen because I actually wanted to use my Pottery Barn bowl for it's purpose instead of as a candy dish. When I see this Scattered Pines paper from Paper Loft, it reminds me of family time and the blessings I have each and every day.

Handmade Advent Calendar Frame with Boxes

I must confess...I've wanted one of these advent calendars for YEARS!  I just couldn't cough up the money to purchase one the other day when I saw one at the Hobby Lobby.  Luckily, I had some credit on Silhouette America and Lori Whitlock designed a file that was perfect for me!  Here's my new Advent Calendar.  Inside the boxes are candy, legos, and special messages. I'm so happy!

The calendar is made up of 19 pieces of 12x12" white paper and 2 pieces of 8xll" colored cardstock.
I used my Silhouette Cameo to cut it out.  In all it took less than 3 hours to cut it and put it together.  So cool!

Die Cut Coffee Cup Business Cards

I made these die cut business cards with my Silhouette Cameo . I wanted something unique to pass along because I often get questions about my blog when I'm teaching scrapbooking.
I snagged the coffee cup print and cut from the Silhouette America digital download store. Then I set the cut to print only the outside of the cup.  I added a cropped logo to the middle. Then I added a circle without a colored line so that the text would wrap around the circle object.
The cards are 3.5" x 2.285".

Picnic Basket and Sandwich Boxes

When I saw this set at MyScrapChick, I just had to have it.  Lucky for me the site is having a 60% off $10 purchase sale this week - score!  I picked this cutting file up for only $2.  Using my Silhouette cameo, I cut out the boxes and assembled them by folding along the score lines.  I added some white stitching to the basket using my while Sakura gellyroll pen, added heart eyelet as well as another cut from the standard Silhouette America freebie offerings that came with my initial purchase.  The sandwich box is distressed using Memento ink.  Makes me want to go on a picnic.  Well...since the 4th of July is coming soon...maybe I'll take that picnic break after all.
I made this box for Docerela Creations 3-d challenge.  She has some fabulous stamps I hope to win.  Maybe you can win too...check out her blog here.
