Kitty Cat - SEI Beads Card

I picked up these oh so cute beaded stickers at the Mesa Scrapbook convention a few years back for 25 cents a pack. I finally got around to using them!
I used the Creative Memories circle punch.
Then I added my stickers and bakers twine!

Football Bookcase Makeover and Giveaway!

Yesterday I revealed the Cardinals and Browns room makeovers. Today I'm going to show you how I made over this bookcase. Leave a comment with a way to contact you before next Saturday 1/14/12 for a chance to win some really cute football brads! I have a brand new pack to give away!
The bookcase was plain white and in need of some TLC. I cleaned it up first.
Then I took tape and marked off the yard lines with 1/2" tape. I used 3/4" tape around the border. Since I wanted this to look real, I taped it 1/4" from the sides so that the green "grass" would show on the outside of the lines...just like a real football field! I used my cricut Basecamp cartridge to cut out the letters and numbers at 1 1/2". I adhered them to the bookcase using Xyron temporary adhesive. You can use permanent, but you'll have to pull it up before the paint dries. Then I covered the entire book case in plastic wrap left over from the IKEA bedroom wrappers, and spray painted it with Rustoleum Hunter Green spray paint. I waited for it to dry and then peeled off the tape and stickers.

It was so easy!  Here's another close up!

Newness - Cardinals and Browns Bedrooms

The Crafty Gals blogging challenge for this month is Newness! I thought I'd share the boys bedrooms that hubby and I made over the week before Christmas. Ya...you heard me right...the week before Christmas - as if Christmas isn't already busy enough.  Not one room....but two. They were so surprised and happy with the new rooms!  Tomorrow I'll post how I used my cricut to change up the plain white bookcase. Be sure to check out the other crafty gals blog posts by clicking the links on the side of my blog.

Before - Blue Boat Room
After - Red Arizona Cardinals Room

Awesome Banner and football book case!

Here's the Cleveland Browns room!
Before - Harley Davidson Room

After - Cleveland Browns Room

New Decor!

As you can see, the 1st room was much more work as it took 2 coats of paint to get the blue out. Plus the bookcase took some time and assembling the new furniture took some time too. Many folks have asked about the curtains. The curtains were purchased from Walmart. They originally were shower curtains that I cut up the middle, sewed, and hung.  They look fabulous and were cheaper and nicer than the panels I had originally considered. The bedding and trash cans were purchased from Walmart as well.

The loft beds were purchased from Ikea as well as the chair futon, cover, and curtain wires and clamps (love these)! The banners were purchased from Amazon at only $20 each. NFL Arizona Cardinals 3-by-5 Foot Helmet Flag

I love the way these rooms turned out!
Be sure to check in tomorrow to find out how I redid the bookshelf - football style! Plus leave a comment on tomorrow's blog to win some neat football brads!
