Prince Charming Birthday Card

The Prince Charming card was made with my Silhouette Cameo . He is cut at 3.5" and blinged with stickles. I used a scrap piece of pearl white paper and patterned star paper for the background. I think the red ribbon and buttons help to make this a more masculine card.

The SVG file can be found in the Happily Ever After Lettering Delights product. He is such a sweetie pie!

Here's her comment....
Cute layout. I just became an e-mail follower. My husband, 3 sons, and I go camping every summer. We do it the old-fashioned way....in tents. Oh, what I wouldn't give for a camper..LOL! Honestly though, we love it, and find a new state campground to go to every year. We have so much fun! Thanks for the chance to win the stamp set....GG

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!

My Cup Runneth Over Silhouette Cameo Card

I snagged this free SVG file from Lettering Delights. I wanted to practice using my Silhouette Cameo . I printed the card and then printed the tea cup so I could have one layer.  I added some stickles to make it look interesting.  In all it took less than 10 minutes to create this card.

Hello Silhouette Cameo!

My hubs bought me this  Silhouette Cameo for my birthday. I have quite a few Cricut machines, including the Imagine, but I wanted the Cameo because it offers flexibility. I can print and cut pretty much anything with it's print and cut feature.  I couldn't wait to start using it.

The Cameo is easy to load. The mat looks flimsier than the Cricut but it's very durable!
My first cuts were of a running girl and her arm.  It's not broken. It's supposed to be glued to her body as a layer. Since I wanted a silhouette, I chose to scrap her extra arm.

Here she is on her finished card!  My first card made with my new Cameo.  I love this machine. Will I get rid of my Cricut stuff?  Probably not....but I will be buying much, much less.

Crafty Gals Vacation Challenge & Prize Giveaway!

This month's challenge comes from Barb at the Crafty Gals Blog Group. Here's my project.  Sorry about the shadow. I took this picture with my camera phone and I'm still working on getting it right.  I'm going to frame this with the kiddos pictures and give it to grandma and grandpa this month.  They'll be thrilled!

Challenge Details:
Many of us will be taking a summer trip someplace, if even just for a weekend. So, your challenge is to create a card that shouts summer fun! Maybe a camping trip in the forest--or a trip to the ocean for a lighthouse tour or time on the beach--or a flight to another country to see the sights--or road trip to see local attractions--or biking along the rails to trails--or ....................... you get the idea. Shows us image that highlights a summer experience you have had or are planning to do in the future. Please include some patterned paper on your card--along with an additional embellishment or two........ If you want to share on your blog post a fun experience you have had on a vacation, that would be great! We all love to hear about trips--just not all of the hundreds of slides or photos

Leave a comment on this post for a chance to win a cute mini stamp.  I will draw the winning comment on June 10th.  Good luck!

Remember to hop along and leave comments on the other Crafty gal blogs here.

Homeade Apricot Jam

I love apricots, but they can be really expensive in Arizona. So when I had the chance to buy a case for $19, I jumped at the chance. I didn't really plan to make jam but after a week of apricots here and there, I had to do somehing before they spoiled. So I decided to make some jam. I made 15 jars of both full sugar and reduced sugar. To my surprise, I found out that I liked reduced sugar better.
The jars below have found new homes. They were decorated using the Preserves Cricut cartridge and stampes with a Peachy keen stamp face.
