Happy Halloween - My Mind's Eye Layout

Happy Halloween!  Are you taking the kids out tonight?  I am!  My husband will be home manning the haunted house we set up each year, while I walk around the block with the kiddos.

I wanted to create a layout to celebrate this fun holiday. So I went to visit a local scrapbook store this weekend....boy are they getting hard to find these days...so sad.  I saw this cute Halloween line from My Minds Eye called Halloween Lost & Found, and picked up a few sheets.  I ended up making a layout and 5 cards with my two sheets of Lost & Found paper and 4 sheets of other random paper I had in my stash. Now to get those pictures printed and pasted into this layout.

Well....be safe tonight! Happy Halloween!

3D Card Owl - Halloween

Here's a cute 3d Halloween card that I made with my Silhouette. I used a design from Lori Whitlock to create it. It folds flat into an A2 envelope, then it pops up for display. Lori has many versions of this card available on her website and on Sihloutte America, and for .99-1.99 for the file - you just can't beat it!

Art Philisophy Gift Tags

Scrap pieces of paper are my nemesis.  I hate having piles of it, yet I can't throw it away. Today I decided to put some of it to use. I made these tags with some left over paper and my Cricut Art Philosophy cartridge.  I have to say...Art Philosophy is my go to cartridge.  It's so versatile!

Silhouette Cameo Skull Card

It was Cameo project weekend here at the Rollins' house.  This card was cut from my Silhouette Cameo. I added the baker's twine and some inked edges to give it a little boost.

Enjoy Heart Flower Card - Stampin Up

This card is made using the Sew Seasonal stamp set from Stampin Up.  The heart grass is from another set, but for some reason the name escapes me as I write this post.  Well at least I remembered my name...I think.

Totally Free Tuesdays!

Have I told you how much I absolutely love free?  Well, now you know. I stalk quite a few sites for freebie offerings each week. Here are a few of the sites I downloaded freebies from this week. Most freebies are available through Friday. I recommend you snag them today if you want them.

Free SVG cut files
Treasure Box Designs - Witch SVG cut file
Little Scraps of Heaven Designs - Leaf border cut file
Designs on Cloud 9 - Cute Acorn Bear cut file
Silhouette America - Thankful card
SVG files are for those who have a die cutting machine such as the Sihlouette, Cricut, or Eclipse. You need  software such as Make-the-Cut or Silhouette Studio to use these files. At this time there is no supporting software for Cricut. You can't upload these to Cricut Craft Room yet.

Free Digi Stamps
Bugaboo Digi Stamps - Turkey Pumpkin digital stamp
Lettering Delights Monthly Freebies - Halloween themed letters and printables
Anytime you get a freebie from LD, they send you a coupon for 25% off. You can use this coupon on anything, and I usually use it on the sale items that are often times $1-$2...score!
Two for Tuesday - Motorcycle stamps, downloaded for my dad's birthday card.
Kadoodle Bug Designs - Winter Birdie Freebies
Elizabeth Dulemba - Herb Witch
Digi stamps and graphic files are printed directly from your home printer. You can color them just like you do normal stamps using markers, such as Copic and Sharpie. My kids really like coloring these stamps, then we slap them on some cardstock and give them to grandma for cards.

It's really nice that these sites offer freebies. I can tell you that this type of marketing really works for me, especially when they have sales like 50-75% off. That's when I snag the files I have on my wishlist.  Enjoy!

Crafty Gals - October Out of the Box Challenge

Our theme this month was to think out of the box.  I used my Silhouette to combine a circle with a half circle to make a globe. Then I welded a copy to the original to make the card. I used my Stampin up snowmen to create the scene.  What a fun and easy card to make!

Athina's challenge: "I challenge you to make a project with no squares or rectangles (not even the base of a card or scrapbook layout). Since we have already stepped outside the box, lets take another step. Try a technique that you have not tried before. It is always fun to learn something new and expand our creativity. Have fun with it! I can't wait to see what you create!"

Sunny Birthday Card

If you're a die cut fanatic like me, you have tons of premade cuts sitting in drawers waiting to be used on a future project.  Well I rescued this beach themed cut that I made last year from it's bin and added some really cute bikini eyelets to the card.  I stamped the sentiment with my Docerela stamp, and added some pearl Stickles to give the card so motion.  I think I went overboard on the Stickles, but I don't really care.
